The outstanding course is situated in the middle of a nature reserve between Sintra and Cascais. The first and last three holes are situated in a valley, lined by pine trees and granite rocks. The holes 6 to 13 spread over a hill and over a wide view on the environment. Penha Longa is concordantly clled one of the Portugal's best course by profi golfers.
