Situated in the Axarquía, at Caleta de Vélez, the course commands magnificent sea and mountain views. It has direct access from the Mediterranean Motorway and is just 200 metres ffrom the Caleta Marina. The golf course was designed under the direction of José María Cañizares, and is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experts and professionals.
Its friendly family atmosphere is one of the main features of the Guadalhorce Club de Golf. Located 7 km from Malaga International Airport and inaugurated in 1990, it offers many additional features such as swimming pools, tennis and paddle courts, sauna, recreational areas and even its own chapel. The design by Kosti Kuronen, clearly divides the course into two parts.
This course is steeped in history, as it is where the pioneers of golf in Andalusia hit their first strokes. After almost seventy years in existence, and thanks to constant careful maintenance, the course and installations are still in first-class condition. Located just one Kilometre from Malaga International Airport, the course runs alongside the beach.
A course which suits all players, demanding from the first tee but with easy-to-play Fairways and fast rolling greens, some well protected by bunkers; water obstacles on the course. All in all, a varied and pleasant round.
Lauro Golf commands superb views over bay and mountains. It is a technical, though not particularly difficult course, and has been improved by the addition of 9 holes, designed by the deceased Folco Nardi and Mariano Benítez, as were the ‘Original‘ 18 holes which are sure to provide a challenging round of golf to be enjoyed by all. The layout of the 27 holes is becoming increasingly spectacular as the thousands of trees planted each year mature.
Antequera Golf is blessed with views that inspire envy. Looking northwards from above one can see the fertile plain of Antequera , while to the south the golf course stretches out between mountains that lead up to the natural beauty spot of El Torcal.
